We are in Seattle right now and will be for the next couple days to welcome in the New Year. We just walked down to Pikes Place and a man was nice enough to ask us if we wanted some "weed." The hospitality around here is inspiring. Anyway, that kind of made Lori think we needed to get home for the evening.
This year has been good and has involved some significant transitions in our lives. We both finished graduate school at the U and accepted jobs at a private clinic in Twin Falls, Idaho. That's right, Lori and I didn't think that being in school together for 3 years was enough; now we're coworkers. It's an incredibly romantic experience.....every single day. Needless to say, I'm in heaven.
We bought a house and a dog as well. Since Lori got to pick out the house, I laid down the law and got to choose the dog. He's a toy Australian Shepherd. We suspect there was some funny business back in the family history a few generations because he's got some suspicious ears compared to normal aussies. Lori actually prefers the dogs company to mine, not a surprise for most of you I imagine. I can't blame her, we've got a very tough dog. His goes by Tank, we figured the name may empower him a bit. He weighs only 5 pounds so the name helps him feel a bit tougher.
I think that's about it for now. We'll put more stuff on later.
This was some of the scenery on the way up to Washington.
Columbia River Gorge in Oregon....beautiful drive!
Some park on the Columbia River in The Dalles.
This is Tank enjoying the lights of the city of Seattle from our killer hotel room.
